Email warehouse location for each product in an order in Shopify by using Arigato Automation
Enhance order fulfillment efficiency by effortlessly communicating the locations of items in your warehouse for each order through this automation.
This automation fires when an order is placed. It loops over all the items in the order and pulls data points such as the quantity for each item in the order, the name of the item, the SKU for the item and lastly, the item's warehouse location. Since warehouse locations are not supported in Shopify, the automation requires warehouse bin locations be set on each product using metafields. To set this up, first create a metafield then, update your products to include the location as a value on that metafield. Finally, adjust our example workflow so that it looks for your special metafield.
This automation can easily be modified to send this data to a different channel, such as a Google Sheets spreadsheet, a Slack message, a Trello card, or even an SMS message.
