Cancel and void an order if the order remains pending for a period of time in Shopify by using Arigato Automation

After a time period without payment, cancel and archive the order, keeping the Shopify admin clutter-free.

This automation is fired when an order is created. The workflow waits for a period of time, and if the order is still pending, cancels and archives the order. 


This automation ensures that the store does not have unnecessary open orders and provides ample time for customers with unpaid orders to pay before considering the order as abandoned. 


With an extra email action, the workflow can send a notification to both the store email and the customer, notifying them about the cancellation.
