Remove "New" tag after a period of time in Shopify by using Arigato Automation
Automatically remove tags after a specified time to keep content tags up to date.
This automation fires when the app discovers a specific tag, like "new" on a product. Once it discovers the tag, it sets a database value to indicate that the tag has been found. Next, it starts a timer on the product for the length of time you specify. Once the time has passed, the tag is removed from the item. If the tag is added again later, the process starts again.
This example automation can be used for many purposes, such as running a timed sale or featuring products for a short period of time in a collection.
When configuring this workflow, be sure to set all delays to the same time period, and all tag entries to the same tag. The delays configured in this workflow use Action delays, meaning that single Action is delayed and other Actions are executed immediately. For this reason, each delayed action needs the same delay settings.
