Add and remove tags for size based on stock availability in Shopify by using Arigato Automation
Add or remove tags based on variant inventory levels, ensuring accurate product categorization.
This automation is fired when a product is sold or updated. If the inventory goes below the set level, say zero, the application removed the specified tag from the product and/or adds another such as "out of stock." When restocked, the workflow re-evaluates the inventory levels once more, and if above the threshold, removes and adds tags accordingly.
The automation can also be extended to modify the product's price based on available inventory levels.
With the automation, it's easy to conduct inventory level based stock grouping and analysis by filtering using tags. This can also be achieved via smart collections based on the tags.
ProTip: To ensure that the products are correctly tagged, an initial batch/on-demand action is required to update and tag the existing product tags beforehand based on their current inventory level.
