Order pizza for Shopify order over $500 in Shopify by using Arigato Automation
Celebrate large orders by sending playful messages or incentives for a positive customer experience.
This epic workflow fires when an order is paid in your Shopify store that's worth more than $500. It then places an "Easy Order" with Dominos Pizza using your Domino's "Pizza Profile". Stop worrying about this going wrong. When the event fires, Domino's asks you to confirm the order by replying to a text message. We got this.
The setup is a bit involved, but it's totally awesome, so just go with it.
To get started, you'll need the Arigato app of course, as well as a free IFTTT account, and finally a free Domino's account.
In IFTTT, you'll use the Order Domino's event with your Easy Order triggered by a generic Webhook trigger. Here's how to set it up.
Head over to Dominos.com and create an account.
Then sign up for IFTTT ordering on Domino's
Now set up an "Easy Order" for delivery.
Next, pick the food you want delivered.
Confirm your Easy Order setup and you're done with the Domino's side.
Confirmation of delicious payload.
Now head to IFTTT, sign up or sign in and make a new Applet.
For the "IF" part, set up a Webhook.
Name your event something great. I used "Big Shopify Order" and then changed my actual event action to order_dominos, which is what gets called from Arigato.
For the "THEN THAT", look for Domino's.
And choose the "Place my Domino's Easy Order" action.
Finish up your Action setup by putting in your mobile number and selecting the "Easy Order" you want placed.
Now just save it.
Now set up a workflow in the Arigato app that triggers on Order Paid with a condition of Subtotal over 500 and an IFTTT action. Or start by downloading the example workflow from this page. Remember to matches the webhook Event Name you set up in IFTTT.
Now head into the Arigato Test Center and try it out!
You'll get a confirmation text from Domino's about your pepperoni payload.
